May
May will always hold a story for me, it is the month full of ups and downs, perhaps because it is the month of graduation and there was so many things happened.
May is the month I graduated from high school. It was the month of extremely tiring and stressful national examination. It was the month where we had farewell and graduation party.
It was the month when I discovered myself and decided to came to Malaysia. It was the month where I struggle and starving for 2 days before ended with a conclusion.
It was the month full of conference for my AIESEC life in university. The transition and final sprint to reach our organisation goal. It was the month where I took up the role that changed my life and perception towards what youth can do for society.
It was the month of escaping reality and loneliness, the month which I spent by taking short semester to avoid home. It was the month when my batch graduated and left me, while I relentlessly sailing my own bermuda triangle, dorm-library-lab, the route I took every single day to finish my final year project.
It was the month I graduated from university, without celebration, just a simple, short, and normal one, and right after that, catching up the earliest bus for my first national exhibition and competition of my first iOS App. It was intimate and I was grateful for it until now.
It was the month, I left the company, a devastated month yet for the best. It was liberating, it gave me different views toward the world, it crushed me down, but soon there was hope and I didn’t wait a second to chase it.
It was the month when I looked back, engulfing myself with memories and thought. The month of reflection, the month of re-discovery. 11 years, since I started this ritual, it always struck me every time.
This year, I realise May is not the only one, January, February, and every other month, every single day, full of ups and downs, full of memories, and I am grateful for each of it.
Moving forward, I am enjoying every second with gratitude, with love and determination, with visions and dreams, to help others and carve my name in history.
By then, perhaps May is just another wonderful month, or perhaps it will always be a turning point in my life!
